Belt Grading Excitement at Yıldırır Fight Academy: Hard Work Meets New Colors

Alanya Budo Sports Club athletes reached another important stage in their Taekwondo journey during the belt grading held at Yıldırır Fight Academy. The grading was conducted under the coordination of Büşra Ezgi Duman, while Süleyman Tuncer, one of the coaches of the Turkish National Karate Team, attended as a guest. Our training coordinator Ahmet Emir Tekin also followed the event as an observer. With parents sharing in the excitement, our young athletes received the reward for months of effort by earning their new belts.

The first part of the Alanya Budo Sports Club Taekwondo belt grading programme was held at Yıldırır Fight Academy.

After months of training, technical development and preparation for the next level, our athletes had the opportunity to demonstrate what they had learned in a formal grading environment.

For some of our athletes, it was the excitement of earning their first new belt. For others, it marked another step forward in a Taekwondo journey that had already begun.

Yet the meaning of the day went far beyond simply changing the color of a belt.

Every new belt brings with it greater responsibility, stronger discipline and a new level of learning.

HELD UNDER THE COORDINATION OF BÜŞRA EZGİ DUMAN

The belt grading was conducted under the coordination of Büşra Ezgi Duman.

Having closely followed the athletes’ training, technical development and preparation process, Duman evaluated their performances throughout the grading.

In Taekwondo, a belt grading is not simply an assessment of whether certain techniques are performed correctly. It is also an opportunity to observe the discipline, concentration, confidence and sense of responsibility developed by an athlete throughout the training process.

For every athlete stepping onto the mat, the grading represented the result of many weeks and months of work.

SÜLEYMAN TUNCER SHARED IN THE CHILDREN’S EXCITEMENT

One of the special guests at the grading was Süleyman Tuncer, one of the coaches of the Turkish National Karate Team.

Although representing a different martial arts discipline, Tuncer joined us through the shared values of sport and supported our young athletes by following the grading and sharing in their excitement.

Bringing together knowledge and experience from different combat sports was one of the meaningful aspects of the day.

Because while the disciplines may differ, the fundamental values that sport gives to children meet at the same point:

Discipline, effort, respect, patience and perseverance.

AHMET EMİR TEKİN FOLLOWED THE GRADING AS AN OBSERVER

Our club’s training coordinator Ahmet Emir Tekin also took part in the belt grading as an observer.

Having worked closely with our athletes during regular training sessions, Tekin was able to observe how the children applied what they had learned in the grading environment.

At Alanya Budo Sports Club, we place great importance on seeing training and belt grading as parts of one continuous development process.

A child’s progress does not begin on grading day, nor does it end with receiving a new belt.

Every lesson, every repetition and every small improvement forms part of that journey.

THE EXCITEMENT OF A FIRST BELT AND THE BEGINNING OF NEW GOALS

One of the most beautiful aspects of the grading was seeing athletes of different levels sharing the same mat.

Those who had only recently started Taekwondo experienced the excitement of their first belt promotion, while athletes who had been training for longer enjoyed the satisfaction of moving on to the next stage.

For a child beginning the journey with a white belt, earning the first colored belt carries special meaning. Moving through the higher levels, however, also brings greater responsibility.

In Taekwondo, a belt is not simply a color worn around the waist.

It represents hours of training, techniques repeated again and again, moments of tiredness followed by the decision to continue, and the change an athlete begins to see within themselves.

PARENTS SHARED IN THE EXCITEMENT

The excitement of the belt grading was not limited to our athletes.

Parents who had closely followed their children’s efforts over the weeks and months were also there to support them throughout the event.

Behind every child who steps onto the mat is not only the work of their coaches, but also the support of a family that brings them to training, waits for them, encourages them and helps them continue.

For this reason, our belt gradings become a shared source of pride not only for the athletes, but also for the families who contribute to the journey.

ONE BELT COMPLETED, A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS

As our young athletes received their new belts, they also took the first step into a new period of training.

Because every belt grading is not an ending. It is the beginning of the next goal.

At Alanya Budo Sports Club, our aim is not only to help children become better Taekwondo athletes, but also to support them in becoming confident, disciplined and responsible individuals who understand friendship, effort and respect.

That was also the most meaningful picture we saw at Yıldırır Fight Academy:

Children working hard, feeling the excitement, supporting one another and enjoying the happiness of moving one step forward.

We would like to thank Büşra Ezgi Duman for her contribution to the belt grading, Süleyman Tuncer for being with our young athletes as our valued guest, our training coordinator Ahmet Emir Tekin for following the process as an observer, and all of our athletes and parents who shared this special day with us.

We congratulate all of our athletes who earned their new belts.

New colors around your waist, new goals ahead. The journey continues.
