A sports club’s story is not written only in its own hall. Sometimes that story travels many kilometres away.
Alanya Budo Sports Club represented Alanya with two athletes at the Gazi Turkish Clubs Taekwondo Championship, part of the Turkish Taekwondo Federation’s 2026 activity programme.
At the event held in Gaziantep between 11 and 15 August 2026, Ahmet Emir Tekin and Doruk Tekin stepped onto the mat for our club. Ahmet Emir Tekin competed in the men’s 87 kg and Doruk Tekin in the men’s 74 kg category.
Not Just Competition, but Experience
Events that bring together clubs and athletes from different cities across Türkiye do not mean only winning or losing for young athletes.
Seeing new opponents, experiencing different competition atmospheres and being able to apply what was learned over long training periods in a real competition environment are also important parts of sporting development.
That is why, for our club, taking part in nationwide events is not judged on results alone. Every match leaves a new experience. Every tournament lets the athlete get to know themselves a little better.
From Alanya to Mats across Türkiye
The Alanya Budo journey that began in 2015 today reaches from our own training centre to events held in different cities across Türkiye.
The road from a training session that begins in Saray Mahallesi sometimes leads to Antalya, sometimes to Gaziantep and sometimes to the mats of the Turkish Championship.
We thank Ahmet Emir Tekin and Doruk Tekin for representing our club and Alanya. We continue on our way with new sessions and new goals.
