Alanya Budo Sports Club athletes continue to gain valuable experience and podium finishes at the events they take part in during 2026.
At the Under-21 (Ümitler) Taekwondo regional qualifiers held at the Antalya Kepez Sports Hall, Ahmet Emir Tekin and İbrahim Yıldırım, representing our club, made it onto the podium in two different weight categories.
Ahmet Emir Tekin, competing in the men’s 80 kg, left his opponents behind to take first place, while İbrahim Yıldırım, competing in the men’s 58 kg, finished third and took the bronze medal.
Two Athletes, Two Different Journeys
What you see at the end of a competition is usually just the results table. Yet behind the few minutes an athlete spends on the mat lies a much longer process.
Training, technical work, competition experience, matches won and lost, mistakes made and days of returning to the mat… We see the results achieved by Ahmet Emir Tekin and İbrahim Yıldırım as part of this long process.
At Alanya Budo Sports Club our aim is not only to take athletes to competitions; it is to let athletes who are ready for the competition environment face different opponents, gain experience and continue their sporting development.
New Goals on the Mat
In the Turkish Taekwondo Federation’s 2026 activity programme, Under-21 events continue in September and October.
Every event means a new beginning. The medal won stays in the past, while what was learned is carried into the next session.
We congratulate Ahmet Emir Tekin and İbrahim Yıldırım on their results and wish them continued success in their work. The road continues on the mat.
